Acceptance of Terms

By using ZeyroVault, you agree to these terms. If something here doesn't sit right with you, please don't use the service.

What ZeyroVault Provides

ZeyroVault offers free, browser-based encryption tools. All encryption happens on your device. Our service includes:

• Web-based encryption tools — encrypt text, files, and messages in your browser
• Optional encrypted data storage — data is encrypted before it reaches our servers
• Documentation explaining how the encryption works

Intellectual Property

We own the ZeyroVault name, logo, website, and code. You own the data you encrypt with our tools — always. Using the service means you grant us a limited license to host and transmit your encrypted data — solely to provide the service. We can't read it anyway.

The software is provided without warranty. ZeyroVault and its logo are our trademarks.

Your Responsibilities

To keep things safe for everyone, you agree to:

• Keep your encryption keys and passwords safe — we can't recover them for you
• Back up anything important — encryption doesn't replace backups
• Use the service lawfully
• Not attempt to compromise, overload, or exploit the service

Data Storage

If you choose to store encrypted data with us:

• Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it leaves your browser. We cannot read it.
• Data is automatically deleted after the time period you set
• If you lose your encryption key, your data cannot be recovered by anyone — including us
• We may remove encrypted data that violates these terms or the law

Disclaimer

We take security seriously, but legally we need to be clear about the limits of what we guarantee:

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted availability
• Absolute security of encrypted data

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEYROVAULT IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Loss of data
• Loss of profits
• Business interruption
• Unauthorized access to encrypted data

Ending the Relationship

These terms apply until either of us ends them:

• You can stop at any time — just stop using the service and delete your encrypted data
• We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the service
• After termination, sections about intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law continue to apply
• We'll make reasonable efforts to let you retrieve your encrypted data before termination, if you have your key

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these terms when needed. For significant changes, we'll post a notice on the website at least 30 days before they take effect. Minor adjustments take effect when posted. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. For users in the EU, this does not limit your right to bring proceedings in your home country.

If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it informally. Please contact us at legal@zeyrovault.com with details of your concern. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may pursue legal remedies in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed as minimally as possible, and the rest stays in effect.

DMCA & Copyright

ZeyroVault respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, please send a notice to legal@zeyrovault.com with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized, and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law.
